Various forms of transportation exist in Denmark. Apart from private cars, which many people have, trains and buses are popular means of transportation. In Copenhagen there is a metro system. Bicycling is another very popular way of getting around locally, and throughout Denmark there are wide cycle lanes. Free city bikes are stationed throughout Copenhagen for anyone to use.
