Many Japanese work hard, and stay very loyal to their job place. At the office, loyalty means putting in extra hours. Twelve-hour days are not unusual, although the last few hours are often spent at a bar with the colleagues. Though Japan is officially moving toward a five-day work week, many Japanese still work on Saturdays, and don't bother to take their vacation. |
