Haiti - Transportation

[[See these pages in English][Ver estas páginas en Español][Vedere queste pagine in Italiano][Bekijk deze pagina's in het Nederlands]]
Very few Haitians can afford a private car, so most traveling is done by public transportation, mainly pickup trucks, also called tap-taps, or buses, that are usually old American school buses. Tap-taps and buses are often painted in very colorful motives, and often with religious slogans, the name of the owners favourite football team, or both, written all over the vehicle. Tap-taps and buses are filled until they are literally bursting, and it is a guaranteed uncomfortable ride no matter where you go in Haiti.
