The service sector employs most workers in Switzerland, with a high number engaged in industry, and some in agriculture. Foreign workers account for about 30% of the workforce. Unemployment is rare in Switzerland. Swiss law provides for and regulates union organization and collective bargaining. Most labor disputes are settled on the basis of a so-called peace agreement existing since 1937 between the head organizations of employers and employees. The maximum workweek is set at 45 hours for most employees. There is no government mandated minimum wage. Employees have a right to a minimum of four weeks of vacation each year, and at least five weeks in the case of employees who have not yet reached the age of 20.
