About 57 % of the population in Guyana are Christian, including the following faiths: 17 % Pentecostal, 8 % Roman Catholic, 7 % Anglican, 5 % Seventh-day Adventist, and 20 % other Christian faiths. Approximately 28 % of the population are Hindu, about 7 % Muslim (both Sunni and Shi'a), and 2 % practice other beliefs, including Rastafarianism and Baha'ism. Approximately 4 % of the population do not profess any religion. Members of all ethnic groups are well represented in all religious groups, with two exceptions: almost all Hindus are Indo-Guyanese, and nearly all Rastafarians are Afro-Guyanese. Foreign missionaries from a wide range of denominations are present in the country.
