Italy has one of the world's most loved and known kitchens. A traditional Italian menu could consist of hot or cold appetizers, followed by a first course that usually consists of a hot dish like pasta, risotto, gnocchi, polenta or soup. The main dish is usually fish or meat; traditionally veal, pork and chicken are the most commonly used meats. Side dishes may consist of a salad or cooked vegetables. Cheese and fruits are the first dessert, usually served together, followed by dessert such as cakes and cookies. Finally the coffee is served, and maybe a liqueur. Italy is a producer of some of the worlds finest wines, and they know how to make a good cup of coffee too.
