Streets in towns and cities are often stone or copplestone paved, and usually quite lively. Syrian streets ooze a friendly atmosphere, even though traffic can be somewhat frightening; in particular can Damascus traffic be overwhelming with it's several lanes of cars, and no obvious traffic rules. Roads between towns are often paved and in fine condition. |
