Thailand’s labor force was estimated at 36.4 million in November 2004. About 49
percent were working in agriculture, 37 percent in services, and 14 percent in industry. Less than 4 percent of the workforce is member of a union. In 2003 Thailand’s unemployment rate was in 2004 2.2 percent of the labor force.
