Not everybody in Thailand can afford their own car, but especially in Bangkok the streets are full of taxis, buses, songtaws and tuk-tuks. For traveling between towns, buses and trains are quite comfortable means of transportation (even though some buses get freezing cold from air-con). There are lots of boats and ferries to take you from the mainland to the many islands in Thailand. Public transportation in Thailand is in general frequent and reliable. |
