Ethnic Turks make up about 80% of the population of Turkey while Kurds make up nearly 20% of the rest. The official language in Turkey is Turkish which is spoken by all of the population. Other languages are spoken as well in the communities of ethnic minorities, the most significant being Kurdish. Other languages are Azari, Dimly and Kabardian. |
