For getting around in Athens, the metro system is a popular means of transportation. Other ways of getting around are bus, trolley bus and taxi. For traveling between cities and islands in Greece train, bus, plane, car and ferry can be used. On some islands where roads are not fit for cars, mules are used as transportation. Another popular way of getting around in the narrow streets of the Greek islands is by moped.
