In Vietnam, agriculture (including forestry and fishing) employs about 63% of the labor force, with industry, construction and services providing work for the remainder. The unemployment rate is very high in Vietnam. The minimum age for full-time employment is 18, with special provisions for those between 15 and 18 years of age. However, many children work in violation of this law, especially in the informal economy. |
