Of the total population of Isreal, 5,415,000 are Jews (76%) while 1,425,000 million (20%) are Arabs. The remaining are mostly immigrants from the former Soviet Union or those whose Jewish status is still undetermined by the Interior Ministry. The official languages are Hebrew and Arabic.
