French people usually eat three meals a day: Breakfast when they get up, lunch at around 12:00 or 13:00, dinner at around 20:00. Breakfast is often very quick and typically consists of a hot drink (coffee, tea or hot chocolate) and baguette with butter or jam. Lunch and dinner usually consist of a starter, a hot main course (meat or fish with vegetables), then cheese and dessert (fruit, pastry, ice-cream, etc.). The French kitchen is highly popular in Europe with it's simple but delicious recipes. |
