Malaysia - Houses

The architecture in Malaysia is quite varied, ranging from old colonial buildings to modern highrise buildings. Along the country-side you can see Malay houses. They are mainly seen in villages and are built on stilts to keep the building cool and to elevate it to keep it away from floods. Kampong houses are detached houses and usually have no fences around them.
