Separation wall: The Israeli built separation wall begins at the northern most point in the West Bank and runs through the western districts of the West Bank to the north of Jerusalem; the wall cuts deep deep into the West Bank, illegally confiscating Palestinian land. In total the Wall is over 703 kilometers (436 miles) long. Arafat mausoleum: The 11 x 11 meter long mausoleum (to mark the day of Arafat's death, 11th November) is made of Jerusalem stone, and was offset on three sides by water, and with a piece of train track entombed inside the mausoleum. Both are meant to symbolically indicate that Arafat has not reached his final resting place, which Palestinians hope will be east Jerusalem, the hoped-for capital of a future Palestinian state. |
