Northwest of Thailand is dominated by high mountains with fertile valleys and forests. The highest moutain in Thailand, Doi Intthanon (2585 meters) is located in the nothwest. In northeastern Thailand, the landscape is flat with less fertile lands. Southern Thailand is hilly, has many forests, and beautiful, sandy and white beaches both on the mainland, and on the many islands in the Andaman Sea and the Gulf of Thailand. |
