Yemen has many markets and souks, lots of specialized shops, and a few shopping malls, the biggest in Aden. In Sanaa you will find numerous shops selling craftwork such as jambiyas, silver or gold ware, belts and much, much more. The souk in Sanaa can easily entertain you for a few hours with its colors, sounds, smells, and all the special shops that you are more than welcome to explore without necessarily buying anything. As Yemenis like to go out for a meal, there is plenty of restaurants, but you can also buy your warm food at one of the street stalls or little shops. |
